About Me - Katee at Manager2Be
Welcome to Manager2Be — Where Real Life Gets Managed
Hi, I’m Katee — aerospace engineer, project manager, and life-long learner.
If you are managing projects at work or managing life at home, this blog is for you. Manager2Be is a space to share the tools, strategies, and lessons I have gathered from 15+ years working in fast-paced, high-stakes industries — and juggling everything else in between.
About Me: An Engineer Who Manages More Than Just Projects
I started my career in aerospace, where I worked on lightweight material innovations for global automotive and aviation companies. Over the years, I have led dozens of cross-functional, cross-regional projects — from 2-week sprints to multi-year launches of new products for global markets.
What I learned was this: success in complex environments comes down to how well you manage people, time, and change. Not just Gantt charts or KPIs — but clarity, communication, and consistency.
I hold a PMP® certification, Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt in progress), and I thrive in environments that are constantly evolving. But I’m also a mom, expat, and practical human who has to make it all work — just like you.
Why This Blog Exists
I created Manager2Be because I wish someone had shared this kind of real-world, honest guidance with me when I first stepped into leadership.
Before I knew about PMP or lean tools, I was just copying what other managers were doing — and let’s be honest, a lot of them were improvising too.
With this blog, I want to give back some of what I’ve learned:
What actually works to run efficient, effective teams
Ways to reduce overwhelm (without giving up on goals)
Techniques that help in both professional and private life
What You will Find Here
Whether you are leading people, a project, or just trying to keep your household on track — this blog will share tools you can actually use, including:
Latest tools for time, task, and team management
Techniques from lean, agile, Six Sigma, and change management
Lessons learned from multi-year product development cycles
Mental load relief for working parents and overachievers
Tips for self-confidence, communication, and leadership growth
Most of it applies just as much to project managers as to parents, students, or anyone who wants more clarity and calm in their day-to-day life.
This Blog Is For You If…
You lead cross-functional teams, and want practical systems that work
You feel stuck between too many priorities and not enough time
You enjoy learning and improving — even in small steps
You want honest, humble leadership tips — not perfectionist advice
You are managing something (a product, a team, a household, yourself)
Then you are in the right place.
What’s Next
Expect new blog posts every month covering topics like:
→ What tools I’m currently testing (and what’s worth skipping)
→ Ways to simplify projects, meetings, or routines
→ How to stay calm and effective — especially under pressure
→ Stories from my own career and those of my numerous Mentors who are supporting me, with lessons you can apply
Plus, I will occasionally highlight updates in the project management world, leadership trends, and tools that help real people lead with more ease.
Let’s Build This Together
If there is one thing I have learned, it is that no one has all the answers — but when we share what works, we all get better.
So I hope Manager2Be becomes more than a blog. I hope it becomes a quiet, useful corner of the internet that helps you feel a little more clear, confident, and in control — no matter what you are managing.
Thanks for being here. Let’s grow together.
